SITE SAFETY RULES AND REQUIRMENTS 2023                                                                                                                  

  Sub-contractors and workers have a due diligence to ensure the safety of themselves and others on site.  On commencement of work on this site, it is understood that all persons are aware of the WHS Management plan, its contents and their obligations under the WHS Act and Regulations 2011. this will consult  with all contractors with regular site audits, sharing of information and safety alerts.

 

  1. All workers (employees and contractors) must comply with all safety requirements. 
  2. All requirements of the QLD WHS Act and Regulations must be adhered too.
  3. Safe Work Method Statements for all high risk construction work.
  4. All workers to have a construction safety card blue, white or red.
  5. Report all accidents and incidents to the builder immediately.
  6. All hazardous substances and materials are to be kept in a register with the Safety Data Sheets.
  7. Mobile plant operators to be competent and licensed as required.
  8. Mobile plant to have all safety lights, alarms, cameras operational before coming onsite.
  9. High vis clothing to be worn within 4m of operating plant.
  10. RCDs must be used onsite.
  11.  Smoking ( cigarettes, Vaping and Any tobacco products) are prohibited anywhere on the building site. Employees and contractors MUST leave the site to smoke.
  12. Electrical leads and tools must be tagged every 3 months.
  13. Electrical leads to be kept out of water and safe from damage.
  14. Meter box door is to be kept closed at all times.
  15. No double adaptors, piggy back adaptors or domestic power boards to be used onsite.
  16. Ladders to be industrial and 120kg SWL.
  17. Do not stand on the top of a step ladder.
  18. Do not use step ladders or ladders to support planks.
  19. When cutting silica based materials ensure you use the correct P.P.E and Tools.(vacuum)
  20. No harassment, bullying, discrimination, vandalism or bad behaviour.
  21. No illegal drugs or alcohol on site at anytime.
  22. No children or animals to be brought on site.
  23. Always wear the appriopate and correct P.P.E for each task.
  24. Keep your work area clean and tidy.
  25. All food and drink containers to be desposted into the skip bin.
  26. Use correct manual handling procedures.
  27. Only licensed scaffolders to erect, alter or dismantle scaffolds over four metres high.
  28. Don’t remove guard rails or scaffold components unless authorised.
  29. Ensure all trestles and planks are erected according to manufactures quidelines.
  30. Any safety instructions given by the supervisor or safety consultant must be action immediately.
  31. All sub-contractors are to supply their own First Aid Kit and it to be accessible to their staff.
